Prompt #2
I believe Bloom's Taxonomy to the digital world is a good fit for learning in the 21st century. I think that the ordering of thinking skills is helpful to modern day teachers because it gives them a sort of guide as to how to teach students and what skills to teach them first. I believe the Taxonomy's key terms and their respective verbs help the teacher see what can be done using technology in the classroom, and how they may apply it to the curriculum. The order of the order of the action words is important so student build their skills effectively in an order that makes it possible to improve on old skills while learning new ones. The fact that there are so many action words is a good fit to the modern day classroom because the ways you can use and adapt technology is seemingly limitless.
Prompt #1
Technology has had an unbelievable impact on society and education. From social networks and online dating sites, to the English language and job, technology has created major changes. In the past, educators have been preparing students for jobs that already exist. According to, "Did You Know", educators are now preparing students for jobs that don't exist yet so they will be able to solve problems that we don't know are problems yet. This is something that has rapidly changed since technology entered daily lives. "Pay Attention" said that most children are digital learners, and there are a multitude of ways to use technology to engage them. Students expect to be able to create and share their work with others, so teachers must find a way to adapt their curriculum to accommodate technology. It is evident that technology plays a huge part in social and educational circles, and as time goes on, will have huge impacts on the way we teach and learn and live our lives.
